WAEC Allegedly Denies Over 50,000 Nigerian Final Year Secondary Students 2024 Registration/Enrollment

West African Examination Council ( WAEC ) has allegedly denied over fifty thousand Nigerian final year students in 2024 registration / enrollment .

This was contained in a statement of appeal by Organisation of School Owners of Nigeria (OSON) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued in Warri, Delta State dated Friday, 5th April 2024, made available to the press.

The statement read inter alia: ‘We write to passionately appeal for the Re-opening of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (School Candidates) Registration Portal to enable our Schools complete the 2024 WASSCE (SC) Registration.

‘As we have received several complaints from huge numbers of Secondary Schools and Students nationwide, who are yet to complete their students enrollment.

“Most parents could not meet up with payment of their ward (s) Entry Fees within the stipulated period as a result of the increment of the WASSCE Registration Fees and the economic situation in the nation and some awaiting march salaries to pay up for the Entry, while some schools could not complete their entries as a result of poor internet access before the deadline.

‘We are sure to complete our school’s registration within 48 hours if the Portal is reopened.

‘The future Of over 50,000( Fifty Thousand ) Nigerian Final Year Secondary School Students will be at stake If they are denied the opportunity to register for their final year West African Senior school Certificate Examinations,

‘As we are confident of the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA of President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘
