AMVCA 2024: RMD Messed Up, Should Have Dressed In Urhobo Attire
By Daniel Dafe
Am aide to the Governor of Delta State, Ossai Ovie Success has taken a swipe at a veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, better known as RMD, for not attending the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards dressed in an Urhobo Attire to represent and promote his ethnicity.
Recall that on Saturday, RMD was honoured with the Industry Merit Awards at the said event.
Success who slammed RMD, wrote on Facebook: “Uncle RMD messed up for not putting up an urhobo dress being an Urhobo man from Delta State to AMVCA 2024.
He continued: “I love his creativity but this dressing is a turn off for an Urhobo man.”

According to Success, “he should be displaying the rich urhobo culture most especially on a global stage like this.”
Adding: “I am disappointed. Anyway congratulations to him for winning the
AMVCA 2024 award.”
