Council Elections: Braze Up To Be Part Of The Campaign, Ofobrukueta Charges His Supporters

Former Ethiope East Local Government Council Chairman Rt. Hon (Pharm) Ofobrukueta Victor has urged his ‘Team Grace’ supporters to queue behind the PDP Ethiope East Local Government Council Chairmanship nominee, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe.

Following the consensus decision by the party hierarchy to appoint Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, the former Ethiope East Council boss finally broke his silence by informing his supporters at his residence in Okurekpo, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta on Sunday, 9th June, 2024.

According to Ofobrukueta in his address, he said: “I have called you all to inform you that PDP is our party, and we are absolutely loyal to the party’s cause. When a person contests for any political position, bear in mind that only one person can occupy the position at a time.

“If it doesn’t come to you, it should not mean you start having issues with the party. Even though the party’s ticket didn’t come to us, we still have authentic loyalty to the party.”

“I have called you here to tell you that, going forward as the campaign will start in earnest, those of you that believe in my leadership, I want to tell you that you should braze up to be part of the campaign.”

“The campaign for the contest of counselorship across the ward, it may not get to those of you that are here now, kindly join the campaign train for the councilorship and chairmanship in your ward without offense.”

He also said that he believes so much in the M.O.R.E. agenda of his excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori .

“…Once the party has spoken, because of our authentic loyalty to our party, every one of us must follow suit,” Ofobrukueta said.

He further opened up that the entire party at the local government council level will gather on the 20th of June for the campaign ahead of the general Local Government election, hence encouraged everyone to never give up on the party but rather play a huge role in the forthcoming campaign ward by ward to ensure a landslide victory.

Ofobrukueta also used the opportunity to appreciate every individual who found it fitting to honor the short notice.

Meanwhile, the Local Government Council elections are set to be held across the state on the 13th of July 2024.
