Fejiro Oliver Blasts Okowa, As Oborevwori Gifts Cars To APC Federal Lawmakers

Publisher, Secret Reporters, Fejiro Olover has again taken a swipe at the immediate past governor of the state, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, while reacting to the presentation of car gifts to federal lawmakers in the state irrespective of political party.

In a Facebook post he titled ‘The right thing’, Oliver who praised Oborevwori for the gesture, wrote: “Like I have always told those close to me and mutual friends between my senior brother and senior friend, Gov. Sheriff Oborovweri, one thing I can’t take from Sheriff is his heart of a baby.”

According to him, over the years, he has known Oborevwori to be one that does not inherit enemies and keeping friendships even when they disagree.

He added: “You and Sheriff may have serious quarrel but when you guys see, the quarrel leaves his heart. And again, he takes advice and good advice. How he has not been able to take advice since he became governor must be a spiritual issue.”

He recalled how some years ago, he persuaded Oborevwori then as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly not to take a journalist to court who wrote unpleasant things about him.

He said that without telling him, Sheriff contacted a SAN to sue the said journalist so he can be charged for cybercrime and jailed.

He wrote further: “That same morning, he called me saying “Fejiro, shey you see wetin your boy don do. As he no wan lemme rest, I go sue am and he go go prison for false information”

“I laughed and told him “Noooooo, Speaker”…. I.told him to tell the lawyer to stop the letter and advised him against it. In my words “Speaker, na you he go take shine. Na you get name and anything you do now even if you are right will backfire on you. You just wan make am very popular and make yourself unpopular especially as elections dey come.”

Adding: “After our discussion, he called me back few minutes later that he’s not proceeding with the issue. “Fejiro, you dey right. That boy wan use me get name. Thank you for that better advice.

“Today, he’s a VERY CLOSE person to my journalist mentee.

“That’s Sheriff for you.”

He continued: “I’m not surprised to learn that for the first time in history, he gave new SUVs to opposition lawmakers of APC just as was given to the PDP.

“This was a practice begun by Ibori but the southern betrayer from Owa-Alero came and used his bitterness to end it. Throughout the 8 years of DSP Ovie Omo-Agege, Okowa refused to give him his own car. He also didn’t give to Revd Francis E Waive as House of Reps member.

“Today, Sheriff has brought back that unity that exists in the national assembly, a gesture that there is time to play politics and once it’s over, we are ALL Deltans and must be Governor for all.

“This is the Sheriff I know. The other Sheriff that works for Okowa, I don’t know him.

“Sheriff is a good man

“Okowa is a bad boy,” he concluded.
