Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, has adopted the MORE Agenda of the state party leader and governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

Ogedegbe made the disclosure on Saturday June 15, during the continuation of his electioneering campaigns visits to Okpara-inland, Orhoakpor, Isiokolo, Kokori, Egbo, and Samagidi communities,.

He stated that the MORE agenda of His Excellency, Governor Oborevwori, is loaded with socioeconomic and infrastructure packages anchored on Meaningful development, Opportunity for all Deltans, Realistic reforms and Enhanced peace and security, which, according to him, must be replicated in the local government to fast track unprecedented development and quality service to the people.

He assured the electorates of his total commitment to their socioeconomic prosperity and progress if elected Chairman of the council, adding that he shall operate an open door policy, ensure prudent management of the Council resources, accountable to the people in all dealings and transactions, and above all to set an unbreakable records in this era and dispensation through good governance.

“I will be Chairman of Council for all Ethiopians, and I shall be fair in the distribution of dividends of democracy, youths and women empowerment, as well as infrastructure development especially in the area of primary healthcare, sanitation, education and multifaceted quality social services.

“The support that am getting from our people and eligible voters across Ethiope East is unprecedented, and I will never take your support for granted. Payback time is coming very soon. I will serve you all without blemish.

“I need your block votes to be able to pay you back in terms of good governance anchored on accountability, transparency, humility and prosperity for our people. I am the best person for the job at this time. I promise to be a servant leader with listening ears.

“A vote for Chief Augustine Ogedegbe is a vote to advance Ethiope East, a vote for security, peaceful coexistence, respect for leaders and elders, a vote for quality healthcare and unique service delivery,” Ogedegbe assured.

The LGA campaign train led by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Hon Felix Erhimedafe, recorded landmark success as community leaders, women and youths endorsed Chief Augustine Ogedegbe as their consensus Chairmanship candidate in all the wards so far visited.

It is foreseeable that PDP, Ogedegbe and the Councillorship candidates will sweep the polls on July 13, as the major opposition party remained docile, and not yet visible in the Council elections radar in the LGA, and across Delta State.

Saturday campaign tour was well attended by party elders, leaders and stakeholders including; the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, former federal lawmaker, Rt Hon Sunny Emeyese, State Director of Protocols, Chief Sunday Onoriode, former Council Chairman and business tycoon, Chief Tony Oboroh, political appointees and Councillorship candidates of the PDP, and others too numerous to mention.
