Iran Says U.S. Also Responsible For Haniyeh Killing
Iran is blaming both the United States and Israel for the death of Hamas’ political leader Ismail Haniyeh in an attack in Tehran, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
“The U.S. is also responsible for this brutal act of terrorism,” the ministry stated.
Washington had always supported the Israeli government and consistently endorsed its crimes, thus also playing a role in this incident, it added.

The Foreign Ministry in Tehran reiterated that Iran had the legitimate right to respond in an appropriate manner to a crime committed on its own territory.
According to the Hamas militant Islamist organisation, Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli attack on a residence in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
Israel is yet to comment on the matter.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington had not been involved in Haniyeh’s violent death and had no prior knowledge of the killing.
