“He ( Chief Anthony Ofoni) will do things that will make Uvwie a better local government area; he will do things that will make our aspirations work positively.
“My confidence is streagthened in the fact that he was a former financial secretary of Uvwie General Improvement Union and therefore knows the role Uvwie Local Government Council ought to be playing in UGIU better and more energetically.” he added.
Erute urged indigenes and non indigenes to join hands with Chief Anthony Ofoni in the task of taking Uvwie Local Government Area to greater heights.
He however charged the new Uvwie Local Government Council chairman on infrastructural developments of the local government area as he noted that before the election of Chief Anthony Ofoni, the local government has not taken to infrastructural developments.
Erute therefore pointed out that there was no law prohibiting local government councils in construction of link roads.
The erudite opinion leader, Chief Erute who scored Uvwie Local Government Area very low on environmental sanitation particularly in the various markets in the local government area, therefore charged the new Uvwie Local Government Council Chairman on clean environment of Uvwie Local Government Area.
Chief Abovi Hope Erute further urged the Uvwie Local Government Council to recognize institutions such as the Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU) as partners in progress as well as the importance of the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom in the development of the local government area.
He wrapped up the media chat with a prayer of a successful tenure in office for the number one citizen of Uvwie Local Government Area.
