Ogedegbe, Erhimedafe Welcomes APC Defectors To PDP In Ovu
The PDP chairmanship candidate for Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon Chief Augustine Ogedgebe JP, and the Ethiope East Local Government PDP chairman, Hon Felix Erhimedafe, warmly received a wave of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ovu, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.
This event marks a crucial moment in Ovu ward five (5) political landscape, reflecting a shift in allegiance and a consolidation of support for the PDP.
Hon Ogedegbe, in his speech, welcomed the new defectors to PDP, noting he was very happy about the number of defectors coming to PDP daily, he urged them to go home and preach the gospel of Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori, led administration and work for His Excellency and all PDP candidates in 2027.

Hon Erhimedafe, the PDP LGA chairman expressed his delight and optimism during the welcoming ceremony. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in driving the party’s objectives and achieving sustainable development for the Ethiope East Local Government Area.
The defectors, who cited a lack of fulfilment of promises and a disconnect with the APC leadership as their reasons for switching allegiance, were assured of a warm reception and active participation within the PDP.
The defection underscores the growing dissatisfaction within the APC ranks and highlights the PDP’s strategic efforts to broaden its base and strengthen its influence. Ogedegbe reiterated the PDP’s commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and progress, encouraging the new members to actively contribute to the party’s vision for a better future.
