Sankera: Gov Alia Donates 23 Hilux Vehicles, 50 Motorcycles To Security Operatives

In a strategic move to address the ongoing security challenges in the Sankera area of Benue State, Nigeria, the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Rev Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has donated 23 Hilux vehicles and 50 motorcycles to security operatives.
Governor Alia, in a statement, expressed his administration’s exhaustion with the “armed bandits hiding in forests and consistently disrupting the peace of the people of Sankera axis.”
He declared that he will no longer guarantee the olive branch he had severally extended to them in the past.
This donation is aimed at strengthening the security presence and enhancing the operational capabilities of the security personnel in the affected region. The vehicles and motorcycles are expected to boost the mobility and responsiveness of the security forces, enabling them to effectively combat the ongoing security challenges in the Sankera area.

“With the immediate deployment of these vehicles and motorcycles, the security personnel will be better equipped to patrol the affected areas, respond to emergencies, and apprehend the perpetrators of the criminal activities that have been plaguing the region,” the Governor stated.
“This action is expected to have a significant impact on the overall security landscape in Sankera and the surrounding areas.”
The Governor expressed sadness over the recent attacks in Ukum local government area, which left his government with no choice but to declare a curfew in the area. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring the peace and stability of the state, stating, “I will not sit back and allow anyone or a group to frustrate the peace of the State and destabilize my government.”
This gesture by Governor Alia has been widely welcomed by the people of Benue State, who express their hope that this intervention will lead to a substantial improvement in the security situation and bring much-needed relief to the affected communities.
