Theatre Commander Stresses Importance Of Sustained Collaboration To Address Security Challenges

The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Waidi Shaibu, has emphasized the crucial role of sustained collaboration and synergy among security agencies in tackling security challenges particularly in the NE region and other parts of the country.
General Shuaibu stated this on, Tuesday 2 July 2024, when the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Zone 15, AIG Abdu Umar, paid him a courtesy visit at Headquarters Theater Command in Maiduguri.
General Shaibu highlighted the progress made through joint operations and intelligence sharing, expressing confidence that continued cooperation would lead to the resolution of security issues.
He acknowledged the effective working relationship between the military and police, praising the AIG’s significant contributions to the current peace in the region.

Earlier, AIG Umar commended the TC and military personnel for their support and efforts in combating insurgency and other security challenges.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating that police work has become more efficient in the NE due to military support.
The AIG assured of continued joint operations with the military to achieve total peace in the region.
The visit which featured exchange of plaques and a group photograph, was attended by the Deputy Theatre Commander, Commissioner of Police Borno State, Component Commanders and Chief of Staff Theatre Command among others.
