Uvwie Love Brothers Declare Support For Ofoni

The prestigious Uvwie foremost socio – political association, Uvwie Love Brothers has declared its support for Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) chairmanship candidate , in the forthcoming local government council elections in Uvwie Local Government Council, Chief Toni Ofoni.

This was contained in a speech made by the patron of Uvwie Love Brothers, the Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa (JP) at a gathering in his Alaka, Effurun residence on Thursday, 11th July, 2024 .

He clarified that the support was not his personal but that of Uvwie Love Brothers.

He however stated that Uvwie Love Brothers is apolitical and that the association was in support of the PDP Uvwie Local Government Council Chairmanship candidate because Chief Ofoni is a member of Uvwie Love Brothers and therefore Chief Toni Ofoni will fully be supported by the association.

The respected Uvwie High Chief also disclosed that Uvwie Love Brothers membership is also comprised of non indigenes.

Akasa charged Ofoni to support the traditional institution, work in synergy with the Ovie of Uvwie Palace and support the good agenda of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

Akasa who is the highest traditional Chief in Uvwie Kingdom also was full of praises for the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for positive transformation of Uvwie Kingdom.

He also appealed for the rehabilitation of the NEPA Line Road.

The PDP Uvwie Local Government Council Chairmanship candidate represented by his vice, Hon Andrew Agagbo in his response, thanked Uvwie Love Brothers for its support.

He assured that Chief Ofoni if he wins, will work in synergy with the Ovie of Uvwie palace and key into the laudable agenda of the Uvwie monarch.

Ofoni also assured that the highly deplorable NEPA Line Road will be rehabilitated by the Uvwie Local Government Council.

He however called for the support of Uvwie people for Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and the PDP.

Chief Thomas Agimagbo and Elder Munis Kodesoh who spoke at the event in their brief speeches, called for more membership of the group.

A very respected Uvwie chief, Chief Mike Okenini prayed for Chief Toni Ofoni and others at the event.

Elder Lawrence Noriode an engineer, Chief Dr Dickson Najemo , Chief Anthony Erute , Uvwie musical exponent Mimi Raham, Mrs Faith Achojake ( nee Fisher) among others graced the epoch making event.

High point of the event was the induction of new members to Uvwie Love Brothers.

Rufus Nikoro, Chief Thomas Agimagbo and Munis Kodesoh are co-ordinators of the association. While High Chief Hope Akasa JP and Chief Mike Okenini are patrons of Uvwie Love Brothers.
