2024/2025 Season: Enyimba FC Fans Confident In Team’s Success
Supporters of Enyimba Football Club of Aba are optimistic about the club’s prospects in the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and CAF Confederation Cup competitions. Speaking with newsmen on Thursday, the fans expressed confidence that Enyimba has the necessary resources to excel in both domestic and continental leagues.
Enyimba, who were the 2022/2023 NPFL champions, finished third in the 2023/2024 season, ceding the title to Rangers International but securing a spot in the Confederation Cup.
Augustine Ezenwata, a dedicated supporter, praised the club’s current administrator, ex-international Kanu Nwankwo, for exposing the players to both local and international friendlies. “We’ve seen new players perform well in preseason friendlies, and I’m confident they will shine in the domestic league. My only concern is whether the new recruits can handle the competition’s pressure,” he said.

Uche Adindu, another fan, highlighted the importance of determination and player welfare, noting, “Enyimba has a strong track record in continental competitions. To succeed, the team must engage in high-profile friendlies and address any weaknesses.”
Chinechere Okorie, a passionate follower, emphasized the need to strengthen the team’s attack, stating, “It won’t be easy on the continent, but with self-belief and proper arrangements for away matches, the team can succeed.”
Coach Godwin Uduma of United Stars Academy urged the domestic league organizers to commence the season promptly, ensuring the players maintain peak physical condition. “I believe Enyimba can win the Nigeria League and make a mark in the CAF Confederation Cup this season,” Uduma said.
