“Arrest By Proxy Is Unprofessional, Illegal, Unacceptable” –FPRO

The Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said that “arrest by proxy is unprofessional, illegal, and unacceptable.”
He said this while responding to an X user on Friday.
Adejobi added: “You can’t arrest the mother in place of her son for an offence she knows nothing about. Except if the mother has been alleged of or one sees traces of conspiracy, accessory before the fact, and accessory after the fact.”

According to him, “the IPO must be sure of any of these before arresting the mother.”
Adding: “But if not, areest by proxy is an act of wickedness, illegality. We will be discussing these offences one by one soon.”
