Ejumi Celebrates 70th Birth Anniversary With Thanksgiving To God

The Unuevworo ( traditional mouth piece) of Etche R ‘ Ugboroke ( traditional administrative unit) in Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Godwin Odjegbane Ejumi celebrated his 70th birth anniversary with thanksgiving to God at Estate Baptist Church Delta State Development Property Authority ( DDPA ) , Ugberikoko Uvwie Local Government Area on Sunday, 11th August, 2024.
The pastor of the church Reverend Bamidele Ifedapo in his speech, described the Unuevworo of Etche R’ Ugboroke as a community leader who was dedicated in serving God and humanity.
It was an atmosphere of gratitude to God for the life of the unuevworo of Etche Ugboroke, Chief Godwin Ejumi who was Joined by his family and Uvwie Council of chiefs to the auspicious event.
In his sermon titled ‘Secret of Relevance, the presiding Pastor of Estate Baptist Church, Rev. Bamidele Ifedapo congratulated the Unuevworo of Etche R Ugboroke on his new age, noting that longevity come from God and most importantly living a life of relevance stands one tall as it is the essence of living.
Rev. Ifedapo urged the congregation including guests, and friends of the celebrant to commit their life to the service of God that it was in accordance of God’s will inorder for them to positively impact generations after them.
The cleric described High Chief Godwin Ejumi as a man who loves God, as he prayed for God’s hand of protection upon his life and family.
The Unuevworo of Etche R Ugboroke began the celebration of the age milestone achievement from the church as he danced with his substance of thanksgiving at the Estate baptist church, thanking God for the journey of life and Gods love and protection upon his life and that of his family.
The septuagenarian thanked God for all He has done for him in the past 70 years.

The Thanksgiving attracted the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom, HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom who was represented by the Unuevworo ( the highest traditional chief in Uvwie Kingdom) of Uvwie Chief Hope Akasa.
At the reception, some of the chiefs and staff of the Collage of Education, Warri including one of the sons of the Uneuvworo, pastor Simeon Ejumi wished the celebrant good health and longevity as he continues to serve his community faithfully.
The celebrant, High Chief Godwin Ejumi in his testimony at the church, noted that his life is a testimony and was only proper and appreciative to start from the church.
He appreciated the Ovie of Uvwie for the peace and development that his reign has brought to Uvwie Kingdom and that Ugboroke has greatly enjoined peace and growth.
High Chief Ejumi prayed God to continue to use the Uvwie monarch to attract developments to the Etche R Ugboroke and Uvwie Kingdom in general.
High points of the birth anniversary celebration were the cutting of the birthday anniversary cake, presentation gift items by guests to the celebrant, presentation of souvenirs by celebrant to guests among others.
The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa JP, a respected Ovie of Uvwie palace chief, Sunny Popo and Provost of College of Education (COE), Warri, Dr Dickson Oyovwi who spoke to our correspondent at separate media chats congratulated High Chief Godwin Ejumi on his 70th birthday anniversary celebration as they wished him more fruitful years ahead.
The event was graced by a galaxy of respected Uvwie chiefs who included: the Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom High Chief Hope Akasa (JP), the Unuevworo of Etche R ‘ Ekpan High Peter Iffie, the Unuevworo of Etche R ‘ Ogbe High Chief Roy Grant Oke, the Unuevworo of Etche R ‘ Ugbomro High Chief Raphael Gbasiyo , the Unuevworo of Etche R Erovie High Chief Sunday Agbugbu ( Someni) and the Unuevworo of Etche R ‘ Ohorie Dr ( High Chief) Samuel Jimoh Eshenake (JP) .
Others were the Usavwre ( traditional key ) of Etche R ‘ Alegbo ( traditional administrative unit) in Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Temabor Ereruke , the Usavwre of Etche R ‘ Erovie High Chief Rex Eju , the Isirera of Etche R ‘Ugboroke High Chief Francis Oghomitse , Chief Joel Akporehe , Chief Sunday Popo, Chief Jacob Eshenake, Chief Ajobor Uni Edward, Chief Ndidi Aminu, Chief Ejiroghene Erifevieme among others.
