Ogedegbe Takes Sanitation To Abraka, University Community, Evacuates 2 Years Dump Site

The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Hon Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe, at the weekend taken environmental sanitation exercise to various communities of the local government to cleanup all nook and cranny inline with the environmental policy of the Oborevwori’s administration.

The council boss, Ogedegbe in his bid and belief that cleanliness is next to godliness and to avoid environmental hazards in all parts of the local government area, has taken the sanitation exercise to the university community, Abraka, evacuated two years dump site for a better and healthier living.

Witnesses who observed the environmental exercise, including Abraka main Market women expressed sigh of relief over the long years accumulated waste that was evacuated, which they said have been posing environmental Hazard in the university community as supervised by the council chairman, Hon. Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe.

The traders and other market women who expressed joy over the chairman’s efforts in ensuring that Abraka community, mostly the market area is evacuated and free of waste, said they will continue to recognize the positive impact of the chairman on the monthly sanitation exercise as it relates to their health.

Speaking during the exercise, the council chairman, Hon.Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe said he will always ensure that residents adhered strictly to the local government environmental policies, pointing out that the importance of taking proactive steps for safe and healthy living is significant in the life of his people.

He assured the people of Ethiope East that his administration will not enforce the rules of the game, but will actively participate in the clean-up process, saying that the purpose is to foster a cleaner, conducive and healthier environment for all Ethiope East.

The council boss, Ogedegbe while thanking all who came out for the exercise, he used the opportunity of the sanitation exercise to appeal to all residents in Ethiope East to ensure their environment is given utmost concern and attention at all times for a cleaner and better living.
