Cleric Appreciates God For Producing Uvwie Decent As Governor

The new chairman of Uvwie Indigenous Ministers Forum Of Nigeria, Bishop Dr Felicia Ileleji has appreciated God for producing a decent of Uvwie Kingdom in person of His Excellency Rt Hon ( Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as governor of Delta State.

This was contained in her welcome address during this year’s annual Uvwie Praise and Worship Day with the theme: ‘A New Dawn ‘ ( Psalm 126 Verse 1, 2 ) at the ultra modern palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday 1st October, 2024.

 

 

“It will interest you to know that since this program began in Uvwie Kingdom, we have recorded tremendous testimonies which of course is the reason we are always delighted to see that Uvwie Praise Day holds every year.

“For want of time, we want to highlight a few . Amidst the numerous testimonies, is the acquisition of land for the forums permanent secretariat.

“It is also a privilege, and heart full of gratitude we announce from the catchment of this forum an Uvwie decent, the governor of Delta State (Rt Hon . Sheriff F Oborevwori),” she added.

Bishop Ileleji also appreciated the royal couple of Uvwie Kingdom HRM Abe 1 & Nene R ‘ Uvwie Kingdom, council of chiefs, the Chairman, Delta State Board Internal Revenue, Chief Hon Solomon Ighrakpata among others for their unwavering support towards the planning and execution of the annual religious program.

A special guest, Uvwie born cleric, Dr Sunday Mewe in his sermon taken from the theme of the event, appreciated God for Uvwie people for having HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 as their king.

He remarked that Abe 1 is a blessing to Uvwie Kingdom just as he noted that the traditional ruler has taken Uvwie Kingdom to greater heights since ascension to the throne.

Members of Non indigenes Ministers Forum, pupils, students and other cross section of the society also graced the occasion.

The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa JP, the Secretary of Uvwie Traditional Council, Dr ( Chief) Samuel Jimoh Eshenake JP and Chief Sunny Popo who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat shortly after the event described the event as wholesome as they thanked God for the clement weather before, during and after the event.

High points of the event were interssesory prayers for the Uvwie royal family, Uvwie chiefs, the people of Uvwie Kingdom, Delta State, Nigeria among others , match past by youth copers, pupils, students and wives of chiefs and poem citation, cultural dances among other exciting exercises by pupils and students.
