Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Suffer Disappointing Start At 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship

By Ogo Clarkson
The Flying Eagles’ 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship campaign began on a sour note, as they fell 1-0 to Burkina Faso in their opener at Lome’s Stade Municipal.
Aliyu Zubairu’s team struggled to find rhythm in a lackluster performance. Goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu’s crucial save ensured a level halftime score.
However, Fandino Abib Coulibaly broke the deadlock for Burkina Faso in the 56th minute, leaving Nigeria searching for answers.
