DISNA: Oasis Magazine To Honour Egwunyenga, Akpowowo, Idawene, Others On Thursday (SEE FULL LIST)

18 Nigerians will be honoured on Thursday during the Distinguished Nigerian Award (DISNA) ceremony organized by Oasis Magazine scheduled to hold in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The said distinguished Nigerians were picked from several fields such as education, engineering, sports, entertainment, politics and public service.
Some of those that made the list of awardees include the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Professor Andy Egwunyenga, Dr. Oke Idawene, Convener/Chairman, Integrity Group of Delta State, Asaba, Delta State, Comr Titus Okotie, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Barr. Arthur Akpowowo, Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Delta State, Deaconess Mrs Helen Nwajei, Proprietress, Keystone Schools, Effurun, Delta State, Hon. Oke Umurhohwo, Founder, Ughelli Rovers Football Club, Ughelli, Engr (Mrs.) Ejoh Lovelyn, Proprietress, PEACELYN Montessori School, Uvwie, SP. The occasion will be chaired by Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, Rector, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, while the immediate past Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege CFR, is the Distinguished Guest of Honour.
Other guests to attend DISNA 2024 include Deacon (Dr.) Ochuko Akpeme, Executive Director, Classical Schools, Warri (Guest of Honour), Sir Edwin Egwonomu Ogidi-Gbegbaje (KSM), Chairman, Delta State Bureau for Pensions (Father of the Day), Professor (Mrs.) Stella Chinye Chiemeke, Vice-Chancellor, University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor (Mother of the Day), CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, Commissioner of Police, Delta State (Keynote Speaker) and Professor Jonathan Tsetimi, Director, Centre for Research and International Programmes, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka (Guest Speaker).
Rev. (Professor) Nelson Edewor (Spiritual Father of the Day) and Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, Commissioner for Information, Delta State (Chief Host) are also expected to attend the event.
HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile (Rtd) Avwaeke 1, Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom and the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, HRM Obi Ifechukwude Okonjo, will also attend the occasion.
The event to hold at Opal Event Center, Along Jesus Saves Road, will commence at 11a.m. with a Red Carpet and thereafter, the main event at 12 noon prompt.
