Why DELSU Postponed Matriculation Of Fresh Students Scheduled For Tomorrow

Oasis Magazine can report that the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, has postponed the earlier scheduled Matriculation Ceremony for Saturday, November 23, 2024.
A top management source who spoke to Oasis Magazine under conditions of anonymity on Friday night, confirmed the development.
According to the official, the matriculation was postponed indefinitely.
He added that the reason for the shift was because “some students have not completed their screening.”
He continued: “Who are you going to matriculate; people that don’t have matriculation number?
“You know JAMB was delaying because of the 16 years admission qualification thing, So, many students did not get admission letter. It is now they are doing their screening seriously.
“See everything scheduled for this week. It has been a very busy week. We have not even done orientation and orientation comes first before matriculation,.
Asked why the sudden postponement, he saidwas on Wednesday.
“The postponement can be to December or January or anytime.”
“Even those in first batch, some of them have not screened. Many of them, their admission letters just started coming in,” he concluded.
