Fire Destroys About 40 Shops In Yobe State

Five days after fire disaster destroyed many shops at a market in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, another fire incident has occurred in Gashua town , headquarters of Bade local government area
According to reports from the area, more than forty shops were affected at the market which is located opposite the main market in the town
The affected market is popularly referred to as kayya kayya market in reference to the bustling and hustling nature of transactions in the market.

The fire started late into the night from a nearby residential building close to the market and spread to the shops .
Intervention by fire fighters helped in putting out the fire which would have been extended to main market.
No life was lost but property worth millions of Naira were destroyed.
