Senate Urges FCT Minister To Halt Demolition Exercises
Senate has urged the minister of the federal capital territory to suspend ongoing demolition exercise except those ordered by court of competent jurisdiction until it conducts an investigation.

An adhoc committee has been constituted with deputy president of the senate, Barau Jibrin as chairman to investigate the matter and report back within two weeks.
The resolution was sequel to a motion from Senator Ireti Kingibe who alleged that due process was not adhered to in the demolition exercise.
