The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria(ACNPN), Delta State Council, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on being conferred with an honorary Doctor of Science degree in Public Policy and Strategy by the Governing Council of Novena University, Ogume, in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the governance of the state..

In a statement, the Chairman of the Community Newspaper Publishers, Comrade Ike Philip Abiagom, commended the Governor for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to the development of Delta State, noting that the prestigious recognition is a well-deserved honor for his contributions to governance, public administration, and education in the state.

“This honorary doctorate is a testament to your exemplary leadership and commitment to the progress of Delta State,” Comrade Abiagom remarked.

“Your efforts in advancing education, infrastructure, and the socio-economic wellbeing of our people are truly commendable. On behalf of all members of Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), we celebrate this milestone with you Sir.”

The award was presented during Novena University’s 5th Convocation Ceremony, where the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving education and addressing challenges facing institutions in Delta State.

Governor Oborevwori also announced the donation of a 200-capacity hall to enhance the institution’s infrastructure.

Comrade Abiagom expressed confidence that the Governor’s leadership will continue to transform Delta State, ensuring sustained progress and development across all sectors.
