Love In Bloom: Weyimi, Rukevwe Celebrate A Beautiful Union (PHOTOS)

In a heartwarming ceremony filled with love and joy, Oritseweyimi Verere Tsetimi and Rukevwe Amos Oghenejakpor tied the knot on January 4, 2025, marking the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their lives.

Friends, family, and loved ones gathered at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses Ivie road, Abraka to witness the union.

The day was nothing short of magical, with every detail meticulously planned to reflect the couple’s unique journey and shared values.

The bride, Weyimi looked radiant in an elegant gown, her smile lighting up the room as she walked down the aisle.

Rukevwe, the groom, stood proudly at the altar, dashing in a classic suit, his eyes filled with adoration.

The wedding ceremony took place at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Abraka.

The officiating minister, Brother Jahspromise Oghenero Akpojisheri, who spoke movingly about the couple’s love story advised the couple to love and tolerate each other putting God in the centre of their relationship.

The reception that followed at the DELSU Multipurpose  Hall, was a lively celebration of culture, music, and togetherness.

Guests danced to vibrant tunes, enjoyed a sumptuous feast, and raised glasses to toast the happy couple.

As the evening drew to a close, the newlyweds expressed their gratitude to everyone who had traveled far and wide to share in their special day.

Representatives from various academic and professional bodies were in attendance, including the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Association of Artificial Intelligence Practitioners (NAAIP), and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

The academic community was well-represented, with delegations from the Faculty of Science, Delta State University (DELSU), the Mathematics Department, DELSU, and the Delta State University of Science and Technology Demonstration Staff.

Family and community played a significant role in the celebration, with members of the Tsetimi Family, Ariemugbovbe Family, Oghenejakpor Family, Idiebise Family, and Ugono Community in attendance.

Other notable groups present included the Poultry Association of Nigeria, UNIBEN Alumni, and the 1997 set of UNIBEN ELSA.

Crews from Oasis Magazine and Optimist TV were also on ground, while the Iwere Community, Abraka, and the Newsite and Urhoka congregations added to the rich cultural tapestry of the occasion.

The presence of DELSU Professors, Directors, and staff from the Centre for Research and International Programmes (CRIP), DELSU, underscored the strong connections between the university and the community, and the families

Friends and classmates of the bride and groom were in attendance, including the 1991 set of Hussey College Warri, who were classmates of Mrs Ome Tsetimi, the bride’s mother, also joined in the celebration, making the occasion a truly unforgettable experience.

Speaking, Rukevwe said, “We are so blessed to be surrounded by love as we start this journey together.”

The ceremony was a testament to the power of love, unity, and the bonds of family and friendship.

As Weyimi and Rukevwe embark on this exciting new chapter, their wedding day will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory for all who attended.
