The member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in Abuja, Rt. Hon. Ngozi Lawrence Okolie has vehemently responded to his detractors trying to rub his face in the mud of non performance, stressing that obviously his political enemies are threatened by his achievements in office within the last 18 months.

He made this clarification while in a new year parley with a select media representatives at his country home in Asaba, Delta State, where he also showed an avalanche of bills he is pushing through the National Assembly as well as some critical motions he moved that had already impacted on the lives of Nigerians.

Rt. Hon. Ngozi Okolie wondered why the pundits fighting so hard to discredit him were confused in their assumptions, as they first claimed he has not done anything and then secondly, they said he was claiming other people’s projects, adding that “their inconsistency is sickening”.

He went further to reel out a number of projects already done within the 18 months in office, to include a 500 capacity civic centre at Okpanam, training of women and youths in different aspects of artisanal skills with starter packs already delivered in three different stages of empowerments, solar street lights already installed at Ebu, Egbudu-Akah, Idumuogo, parts of Asaba and four camps in several other communities within Aniocha/Oshimili, scholarship of #100,000 each to over 300 undergraduates of Aniocha/Oshimili through their institutions’ recognized bodies, provision of 200 sets of chairs and tables to Zappa Secondary School, Ibusa Mixed Secondary School and two others, a block of six classrooms at Aboh Ogwashi, road rehabilitation interventions through his motions and many others.

According to him, “I have done much more in 18 months that I have been in office than what some of them did in their four years in office. Obviously, this is why they are sponsoring campaigns of calumny against me, just because they are threatened by my successes.

“We have done very well within this short period of time given the mandate entrusted to us by our people. We will do more this year and going forward. We will shock them, we have the capacity to beat their records in their entire representative tenures, and that is why they are seriously threatened.

“Initially, we didn’t want to be making noise about our deliverables and successes; but now that they started the media war, we will give it back to them with evidence of achievements”, Hon. Okolie assured.
