Tonye Iyade Bags APRCN’s UN Eminent Ambassadorial Appointment

Sylvester Tonye Iyade has received the United Nations Eminent Ambassadorial Appointment from the Advanced Peace and Reconciliation Centre of Nigeria (APRCN) and Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria (Chartered Forensic Institute) for his efforts in promoting sustainability globally.

It was reported that during the 5th Mandatory Continuing Professional Development ceremony, the APRCN, in partnership with the Awedu Institute of Business Management and Leadership (AIBML), conferred the prestigious award on Tonye in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, citing his contributions and collaborations with international organizations, governments, and civil society to promote peace and sustainable development as a globally recognized achievement.

The event gathered top professionals in both the public and private sectors.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Alex Balogun, CEO of VIP Consults, highlighted strategic business management in the digital age as leveraging digital technologies to drive business growth, innovation, and competitiveness.

AIBML Registrar-General, Amb. Dr. N.B. King David emphasized that APRCN’s UN Eminent Ambassadorial Awardees work to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and advocate for policies and actions that protect the planet for future generations. “This individual would collaborate with governments, corporations, and organizations to drive positive change and inspire others to take action in their communities”.

Additionally, “They would use their platform and influence to highlight the interconnectedness of social, environmental, and economic issues and the importance of taking a holistic approach to building a more sustainable future.”
