DELSU 17th Convocation Ceremony To Hold April 18-30

The 17th convocation ceremony of the Delta State University (DELSU) for its 2023/2024 graduands from the Regular, Sandwich, SLT, Weekend, Part-time and Affiliate programmes will hold on Sunday 13th to Wednesday, 30th April, 2025.

This is according to an official bulletin released by the institution.

Activities lined up for the event include Sunday, 13th April – Pre-Convocation Service at 8:30am to take place at Our Saviour’s Chapel, Site II Abraka Campus; Friday, 18th April – Jumat Service at 12:00pm to hold at Prayer Ground, Site III, Abraka Campus; Wednesday, 23rd April- Vice-Chancellor’s Press Conference at 10:00am scheduled to hold at the Faculty of Management Sciences Hall, Site III, Abraka Campus and thereafter an Arts Exhibition for 1:00pm at the  Bruce Onobrakpeya Art Gallery, Faculty of Arts Complex, Site II, Abraka Campus.

For Thursday, 24th April, the Alumni Day programme scheduled for 11a.m. will hold at the 750A seating capacity TETFund lecture theatre, Site III, Abraka Campus and then the Convocation Drama presentation at the Arts theatre, Site II, Abraka Campus scheduled for 4:00pm.

This year’s Convocation Lecture will be delivered by Prof. Emeritus Peter Okebukola. a Professor of Science and Computer Education, Lagos State University. This will hold on Friday, 25th April, 2025 at the Faculty of Management Sciences Hall, Site III, Abraka Campus. Kick off time is 11:00am.

On Saturday, 26th April, there will be commissioning of projects at 9a.m. and thereafter the main event for the Award of Diplomas, First Degrees, Higher Degrees, Honorary Degrees and Award of Prizes to hold at the university’s Convocation Arena, Site III, Abraka Campus.

Meanwhile, the Founder’s Day Thanksgiving Service of the institution will hold on Wednesday, 30th April at Our Saviour’s Chapel, Site II, Abraka Campus. Time is 11a.m.

The 17th convocation event of the institution will be the first organised under the new leadership of Professor Samuel Asagba as VC.
