Ashibogwu Commends Stakeholders On Successful Conduct Of 2025 Cognitive/Placement Exam In Delta

Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, has commended stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the 2025 cognitive/placement examination in Delta State.

Speaking to newsmen during the monitoring of the conduct of the examination on Saturday, Ashibogwu described the examination as peaceful and hitch free.

“I must commend our parents, teachers and examination officers for their roles in the conduct of the examination.

“We made the call for stakeholders to desist from any form of malpractices and there has been remarkable compliance from them.

“As I am speaking to you now, the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr. Daniel Akiri, directors and some other staff members of the ministry are also out there monitoring the conduct of the examination in other centres across the state.

“From reports I have received so far, there were no cases of missing answer booklets or shortage of question papers across the state.

“I can confidently tell you that there is a great improvement on the conduct of the examination this year and we hope to do better next year,” the commissioner said.

Also speaking, the Director of Examinations and Standards in the ministry, Mrs. Clementina Ojumah, stated that though the job was tedious, it was surmounted through the efforts of all stakeholders.

“I want to commend our different relevant stakeholders for adhering strictly to our announcement in various media to stay away from examination centres and to desist from malpractice in any form.

“I must say it was not easy going round to all centres but with the efforts of many we were able to conduct the examination successfully.

“It is my wish that it continues in this manner in all our examinations as I also plead with parents and teachers not to relent in preparing our children adequately for examinations,” Ojumah said.

The examination was held simultaneously across the state on Saturday, May 24, 2025 with over 118,000 candidates registered from 3,297 schools.
