Delta: Police Nab Suspected Kidnappers During Stop And Search, Recover N3M Ransom Money

Operatives of Dragon Patrol have arrested four of a six-man kidnap gang in Delta State.
The said suspects who hail from Yobe, Taraba and Kano states were arrested during a stop and search exercise by the said operatives.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Edafe Bright, who disclosed the development in a statement, said the security personnel intercepted a commercial vehicle during the search, adding that the sum of three million naira was recovered.

Adding: “Upon interrogation and investigation, the suspects confessed that the money was part of the ransom money collected from a girl they kidnapped in Agbarho. They even used a wooden gun to carry out the kidnap.”
The victim is said to have been kept in the kidnappers’ custody for three days and was released after the payment of four million naira by her family members.
