Dr. Ufuoma Sorhue Hails Appointment Of Dr. Ugboduma Samuel As Provost, College Of Education, Mosogar

In a heartfelt statement released to the press, Dr. Ufuoma Godstime Sorhue has extended warm congratulations to his esteemed friend and former colleague, Dr. Ugboduma Ogheneovo Samuel, on his recent appointment as the Provost of the College of Education, Mosogar.
Expressing immense joy and admiration, Dr. Sorhue described the appointment as richly deserved and deeply symbolic of the visionary leadership under Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori.
According to him, the announcement, conveyed through the Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhowo Tonukari, underscores the administration’s commitment to the ideals of the M.O.R.E Agenda, an agenda he believes is rooted in merit, equity, and purposeful educational reform.

“This is more than just an administrative move,” Dr. Sorhue noted.

He added that such appointments help rebuild Deltans’ confidence in the future of education, innovation, and opportunity across the state.
Speaking from a place of deep familiarity with the institution, Dr. Sorhue recalled his own years of service at the College of Education, Mosogar, where he held various key roles including Deputy Director of Academic Planning and Secretary of COEASU (College of Education Academic Staff Union).
From this vantage point, he affirmed that he understands the depth of leadership and vision required to steer the college towards excellence.
He described Dr. Ugboduma as “a man of remarkable pedigree and quiet strength” and expressed delight that such a capable individual had been entrusted with the noble task of leading the College.
“His calm demeanor, progressive orientation, and people-centered leadership,” he said, “are precisely what this moment demands.”
Dr. Sorhue also used the opportunity to commend Governor Oborevwori for staying true to the principles of the M.O.R.E Agenda, proving that it is not just political rhetoric but a living framework for sustainable progress.
According to him, by placing quality leadership at the helm of institutions, the Governor is laying the groundwork for a stronger, more resilient educational sector in Delta State.
Furthermore, Dr. Sorhue wished Dr. Ugboduma a successful tenure marked by bold initiatives, impactful policies, and a legacy of academic transformation.

Dr. Ufuoma Sorhue currently serves as Deputy Director at the Centre for Farm Management & Agricultural Extension and lectures in the Department of Animal Science at Delta State University, Abraka.
He is also a former Deputy Director of Academic Planning and Secretary of COEASU at the College of Education, Mosogar.
