Troops Clear Terrorist Enclaves In Sambisa Forest, Recover Weapons
By Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have successfully cleared multiple terrorist hideouts in the Sambisa Forest in a coordinated operation conducted earlier today.
The clearance operation, which took place between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m., targeted key insurgent enclaves in Garin Malam Ali, Garin Glucose, and Ukuba areas of the forest.
Military sources said the combined forces overran the hideouts after a sustained offensive, forcing the insurgents to flee in disarray, abandoning weapons and critical equipment.

Items recovered from the operation include assorted arms, ammunition, and materials used in the fabrication of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
“The operation is part of ongoing efforts to dislodge remnants of Boko Haram and ISWAP elements from the Sambisa axis,” a security source said, adding that the exploitation of the forest and surrounding areas is still ongoing.
No casualties were reported on the side of the troops or CJTF, while mop-up operations and intelligence gathering continued in the affected zones.
