FG Targets 21,000 Jobs In Phase 2 Of Renewed Hope Employment Initiative

The Federal Government, through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), is set to engage 21,000 unskilled Nigerians in the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI). This initiative is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s broader vision to tackle unemployment and stimulate economic growth.
NDE Director General Silas Agara, speaking at a strategic planning meeting in Abuja, affirmed the success of the first phase, which empowered over 90,000 Nigerians across the federation. He emphasized that the second phase will adopt a fully digital system, improving efficiency and transparency in implementation and payment of stipends.
Agara also noted that skill sets for this phase will be tailored to local needs, ensuring relevance and sustainability at the grassroots level. The agency is taking deliberate steps to overcome previous challenges and deliver better outcomes for beneficiaries.
