Admission Is By Merit, Don’t Pay Money To Anyone, DELSU Cautions Admission Seekers

By Daniel Dafe
Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka has once again informed prospective candidates that admission into DELSU is absolutely free of charge and strictly by merit.
Tis was contained in a statement on Saturday signed by the institutions Public Telatimns.Officer, Henry Eseka.
Adding: “Please, do not give anyone money to help you secure admission into DELSU.”
According to the statement, “it is disheartening to the Management of the University that despite the numerous announcements and disclaimers, some prospective candidates still fall victim to extortion and admission fraud.”
Furthermore, he said: for clarifications, enquiries and guidance, messages can be sent to the University’s Chairman of Admissions Board on [email protected]
In another development, the university has rescheduled the Personnel Verification Exercise earlier scheduled for Monday, 25th August, 2025, saying that the screening date has been postponed indefinitely.
“A new date will be announced later,” the university management said.
“All inconveniences caused by this postponement are duly regretted,” the statement concluded.
