By Ambrose Ologide
A concerned landlord in Ovwian Community in Udu Local Government Area, Hon Mavis Okeoghene Onojeghwo PhD, has made a passionate appeal to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for tackling of the flood problems in Ovwian and some communities in Udu Local Government Area.
Onojeghwo made the appeal in a media chat with our correspondent at a public function in Ekpan Uvwie Local Government Area last weekend.
He lamented that Ovwian, Ekete, Uwatse and other communities are bedeviled with the flooding over the years.
Onojeghwo identified some of the areas that are faced with the challenges of flooding particularly during rainy season to include Maternity Road, Ovwian Main Road, Izomo Link Road, New York Road ( all in Ovwian Community), Ekete Main Road, Uwatse Community among others.
He stated that the flood problems can easily be solved if quality drainages are constructed in the said areas and linked to the nearby Udu River .
