SUN: Senator Nwoko Grants Four-Year Scholarship To 90 Students From Delta North
Senator Ned Nwoko has unveiled a landmark education and sports empowerment initiative, granting full four-year scholarships to 90 outstanding students from Delta North to study at the Sports University of Nigeria, Idumuje-Ugboko.
Under the scheme, ten students from each of the nine Local Government Areas will gain 100% tuition-free education, training in world-class sports facilities, and access to modern campus amenities including 24-hour electricity, high-speed internet, safe accommodation, and state-of-the-art sporting complexes.
“This is not just financial assistance; it’s an investment in a generation that will marry academic excellence with athletic brilliance,” Nwoko declared. “We are producing ambassadors who will make Delta North and Nigeria proud.”
The Sports University, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa, offers accredited programmes in Mass Communication, Management & Social Sciences, Sports Science, Allied Health Sciences, Sciences, and Architecture.

Applicants must have an impressive academic record and proven talent in at least one sport. The inaugural set of scholarship recipients will resume this academic session.
