Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom Elite Forum Inaugurates Exco, As DELSU DVC (Administration), Others Honoured By Ese Umukoro

The Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom Elite Forum has inaugurated its pioneer executive council (Exco) and Board of Trustees to run the affairs of the Forum for the next three years.

The event which took place on Saturday, 4th October, 2025 at the 2CR Event Place, Usiefrun, Delta State witnessed the presence of prominent sons and daughters of the kingdom as well as friends of the kingdom.

In his speech, President of the Forum, Evangelist Clement Ekagha traced the history of the Forum to May, 2024 when the concept of the Forum was birthed. Evangelist Ekagha also said that the Forum was formed on the principle of giving back to Ewu-Urhobo kingdom where they hail from.

He further reminded the inaugurated Exco and Board of Trustees that the essence of the inauguration was not for title sake but to be stewards of trust, custodians of vision and servants to the people of Ewu-Urhobo kingdom.

Evangelist Ekagha concluded that the mandate before the Exco and members of the Forum was to channel the blessings God has given them into meaningful contributions to uplift communities of the kingdom, empower the youths, and strengthen the unity of bond of people of the kingdom.

Also, speaking, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Delta State University (DELSU), Professor Edmund Atakpo who was honoured by the Forum, told the gathering that the Forum was a lofty idea which provided opportunity to give back to the kingdom.

Professor Atakpo recounted how he grew up in the kingdom and how opportunities like education transformed his life. He advised members of the kingdom, especially the youths to be focused and purpose-driven as that was the sure way of attaining success in life.

Those inaugurated into the Exco were Engineer (Evangelist) Clement Ekagha as President, Engineer Humphrey Okagbare as Vice Chairman, Honourable (Evangelist) Paul Etaga JP as General Secretary, Engineer Peter Oghoredafe as Treasurer, Olorogun Patrick Emurese as Financial Secretary, Mr Matthew Evuarherhe as Publicity/Social Secretary, Mr Mike Etaga as Welfare Officer, and Barr Emmanuel Igowe as Legal Adviser.

Others were Mr Ben Atakpo as Assistant Welfare Officer, and Mr Godfrey Igboma as Assistant Secretary. The newly inaugurated Board of Trustees were Chief Samuel Adjedjor as Chairman, Professor Edmund Atakpo as Member, Colonel Patrick Mukoro as Member, Mr Shell Oyibo as Member and Engineer (Evangelist) Clement Ekagha as Member.

Highlights of the ceremony were the inauguration of the Executive Council (Exco) and Board of Trustees, bestowment of honour on four illustrious sons of the Kingdom amongst whom were Professor Edmund Atakpo Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of DELSU, Chief John Okenabirhie, an industrialist, Mr Michael Etaga, Chief Security Adviser (CSA) of DELSU, and Colonel Patrick Mukoro of the Nigerian Army who was represented by Mr Nelson Mukoro.

Other highlights were the launch of Educational and Skills Acquisition Trust Fund, presentation of goodwill messages by friends of the Forum notable among was Barrister (Honourable) Andrew Orugbo, former Commissioner of Justice in Delta State.
