Groundbreaking Warri – Sapele-Benin Carriage Way Ceremony: Arewa Community In Uvwie Hails Oborevwori

Arewa Community In Uvwie Local Government has lauded and appreciated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his groundbreaking Warri – Sapele – Benin Carriage Way ceremony.

This was contained in a statement by the leader (Seriki) of Arewa Community In Uvwie Local Government, Alhaji Suleiman Jauro made available to our correspondent in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025.

Jauro who is a member of Delta State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in the statement noted that the groundbreaking event is a welcome development particularly to the Arewa traders along the once highly deplorable road.

The statement noted that before the rehabilitation of the road, traders recorded low sales and that vehicles conveying goods from the Northern and other parts of the country avoided the popular livestock and yam markets along the Effurun/ Sapele/ Benin Road due to its extreme bad state.

Jauro who is an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain in Uvwie Local Government Council in the statement, further noted that the said road was also a security flash point.

The statement again expressed delight over the myraids of the laudable achievements of infrastructural developments by Governor Oborevwori in Uvwie Local Government Area and across Delta State and for the governor’s patronage in appointment of Arewa people in his administration so far.

The statement therefore pledged the Arewa peoples total support for Governor Oborevwori and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections to reciprocate the governor’s gesture, saying “one good turn deserves another.”
