Oasis Magazine Pledges Support To New Abraka DPO, CSP Kolo

Publisher of Oasis Magazine, Pastor Daniel Umukoro, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, CSP Kolo Musa.

This visit, the cleric cum educationist, said was part of efforts to improve cooperation between the media and security agencies in the battle against illegal drugs, cultism, and other threats to community peace,

According to the publisher, the visit was also to reaffirm the commitment of Oasis Magazine to promote increased security and harmonious coexistence.

While stating the willingness of the members of the media house to work with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as it has always done since it began operations, Umukoro urged the new DPO to learn from the mistakes and achievements of his predecessor in order to break records set by them.

“We are members of the fourth estate of the realm and watchdogs of the society and while we do this, rest assured that the police can count on us for the necessary media partnership to help you succeed,” he opined.

In response, CSP Musa thanked the media guru for the visit and praised Oasis Magazine for standing out in the media sector.

He emphasised the value of teamwork in combating drug abuse, cultism, and other criminal activity in Abraka, while assuring the visitors that the police division is open for partnership with the media.

In his words, “my doors are always open to this media group,” adding: “Feel free to come around anytime to support us and seek our partnership.”

At the end of the visit, Oasis Magazine and the Abraka Police Division pledged to collaborate closely to make the community safer and more tranquil for its residents.

Present during the visit was also the Secretary of Oasis Magazine Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Vivian Erivwode.
