Otorho-Abraka PG Reacts, As Delta EXCO Approves Construction Of Internal Roads In Community

President-General of Otorho-Abraka in Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief (Engr,) Willy Akora, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, following the approval to construct the internal roads in his community.
He spoke to Oasis Magazine through a phone conversation.
Recall that on Wednesday, the Delta State Executive Council (EXCO) approved projects worth over N42 billion for road infrastructure and other projects across the state.
Briefing journalists at the end of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said the approvals were in line with the administration’s resolve to accelerate development and improve the quality of life of Deltans.
According to him, EXCO approved major works on the Old Lagos–Asaba Road, including the reconstruction of Phase Two covering the Obior to Ubulu-Uku axis in Aniocha North and Aniocha South Local Government Areas, as well as the Ute-Ogbeje to Ebuenor and Ani-Nwachokor routes in Ika North East.
“The Council also approved the upward review of the Ute-Ogbeje to Otolokpo road, and approved the construction of the Etua-Etiti and Etua-Oliogo internal roads in Ndokwa West, to enable contractors mobilise fully and complete the projects,” Aniagwu said.
Other approvals, he said, included the completion of internal roads in Otorho-Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area and the construction of Imohwe Street in Ughelli.
“These interventions are deliberate efforts by the Oborevwori administration to boost energy supply, support economic activities and improve living conditions in our communities,” he said.

Reacting, Chief Akora said the community has since been jubilating following the good news.
His words: “In fact I am the most grateful person on earth. This is what we have been praying for and I am very excited that they approved the construction of the roads in my regime.”
According to him, the internal roads are many, saying they will be happy if all of them are done.
He continued: “Otorho Day holds on the 2nd of January, 2026, and this development will form a major part of my address.”
Furthermore, he congratulated the king, saying during his reign, the roads of Otorho, headquarters of the kingdom were approved for construction.
Sir Akora also lauded the PG of the kingdom, Barrister Efe because history was made under his regime.
“I will dance till break because of this news. Many persons have since been jubilating. This news is like a Christmas gift,” he concluded.
