Let’s Join Hands With Abe 1 To Take Uvwie To Greater Heights, Itsekor Enjoins Uvwie People

A new chief of Uvwie Kingdom, Chief Raphael Itsekor has called on all Uvwie sons and daughters to join hands with HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom to take the kingdom to greater heights.

Itsekor who bears the title of ‘Oduduru’ (Abundance) of Uvwie Kingdom, made the call in a media chat with our correspondent shortly after he was conferred with the title at his residence in Effurun, on Saturday, 7th February, 2026.

He praised the Uvwie monarch for making Uvwie a pride not only to Uvwie people but to Urhobo Nation and indeed Delta State.

“So he (Abe 1) deserves all the support, prayers and loyalty to take Uvwie to greater heights,” he added.

Itsekor earlier explained that he decided to become an Uvwie chief in order to be a complete Uvwie man.

“It is a dream fulfilled as an Uvwie man. I am a chief of Effurun-Otor Kingdom.

“However, if a man wants recognition from his community, one of the first thing to do, is to get that recognition with a chieftaincy title from his community,” he added.

The Oduduru of Uvwie Kingdom therefore thanked the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for granting him his heart desire of being a complete Uvwie man with the chieftaincy title.

Chief Raphael Itsekor is happily married to Mrs Aghogho Itsekor with children.
