Concerned Deltans In Academics Hails Gov. Oborevwori On Appointment Of Prof. Awhefeada As Southern Delta University VC

A group, Concerned Deltans in Academics appreciates His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for his visionary leadership in appointing Professor Sunny Awhefeada as the Vice Chancellor of Southern Delta University, Ozoro.

In a statement on Thursday, 26th March, 2026, the group noted that the “appointment reflects a deep commitment to excellence, merit, and the continued advancement of education in Delta State.”

Adding: “Professor Awhefeada’s distinguished academic record, wealth of experience, and passion for intellectual development make him a worthy choice for this strategic position.”

The group noted that this decision inspires confidence in the future of the institution and reinforces the hope that Southern Delta University will continue to grow as a center of academic excellence, innovation, and character formation.
