Retired DELSU Library Staff, Josiah Ruteyan, Is Dead

The death has been announced of Mr. Josiah Oghenero Ruteyan, a retired staff of the Delta State University, Abraka Library.

Mr. Ruteyan reportedly passed away late in the night on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence off Lucas Road in Abraka.

Until his death, he was a dedicated member of the Ukoko R’ Emoto DELSU group and was known among colleagues and associates for his service at the university library.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Committee of Friends, Dr. Basil Iwhiwhu expressed condolences, praying for God to grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his immediate and extended family.
