Diri/Akpe Women Support Group Pledges Solidarity To Deputy Governor, Vows APC Victory In 2027

A delegation of the Diri/Akpe Women Support Group from Bayelsa West Senatorial District on Wednesday paid a solidarity visit to the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Akpe, at Government House, Yenagoa.

The visit was led by the group’s leader, Chief Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown, who is also the Member representing Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Ndiomu-Brown reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to the Deputy Governor and to the “Assured Prosperity” administration led by Governor Douye Diri.

She said the women’s support group was formed to mobilize women across Bayelsa West for the continuity of the prosperity agenda and to ensure greater inclusion of women in governance.

Chief Ndiomu-Brown further assured that the Diri/Akpe Women Support Group would work closely with other support groups to deliver a landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.

Responding, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter-Akpe, thanked the women for their support and commitment.

Dr. Akpe urged them to continue mobilizing at the grassroots and to remain united in advancing the policies and programs of the present administration. And also pray for the success of the prosperity administration.

The Deputy Governor remarked that the Governor Diri’s, administration remains committed to women empowerment, peace, and infrastructural development across the state.

The delegation included several prominent women leaders from Bayelsa West. Among them were the Chairman of Ekeremor Rural Development Authority, Mrs. Deme Pamosoo Esq; Chairman of Tarakiri Rural Development Authority, Mrs. Ann Enebimoere Asamkpere; Executive Chairman of Bayelsa State Teachers Training, Registration and Certification Board, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Stella Ugolo; former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Martha Jenakumo; former Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Sylvia Fuludu Brigidi; and former Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsa West / former State PDP Woman Leader, Hon. Christie Ebbeli.
