Rotary Club Seeks Partnership With Ughelli North Council, Honours Jaro Egbo With Paul Harris Fellow Award

The President of the Rotary Club of Ughelli, Rotarian Akpobome Rufus Ibebe, has expressed the club’s readiness to partner with the Ughelli North Local Government Council on community development projects aimed at improving the lives of residents across the local government area.

Ibebe made the commitment on Monday during a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Barr. Jaro Movudu Egbo, at the council secretariat.

Leading members of the Rotary Club delegation, the President congratulated Egbo on the successful completion of his second year in office, commending his administration’s commitment to grassroots development and responsive leadership.

He also requested the council’s approval for a strategic location within Ughelli metropolis for the erection of a Rotary Monument, describing it as part of the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and community development.

“We are here to celebrate a leader who has distinguished himself in public service. The Rotary Club is ready to collaborate with the Ughelli North Local Government Council on projects that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our people,” Ibebe said.

Responding, Chairman Jaro Egbo thanked the Rotary Club for the visit and the recognition, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to partnering with credible organizations to accelerate development across the council area.

He assured the delegation that his administration would continue to welcome partnerships that align with its vision of sustainable development and improved service delivery.
