Urhobo Kings Meet Defence Minister Over Okuama Crisis
A delegation of the Ukoko R’ Ivie R’ Urhobo, led by HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile (Rtd), Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom, has met with Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), in Abuja as part of ongoing efforts to secure a lasting resolution to the lingering Okuama crisis.
The delegation included the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, the Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, and AVM Sonni Gberevbie (Rtd).

The meeting comes on the heels of the Federal High Court’s order directing the unconditional release of the Okuama community leaders from military custody. The engagement with General Christopher Musa is believed to be aimed at facilitating compliance with the court’s directive while strengthening dialogue and collaboration towards a peaceful and lasting resolution of the Okuama crisis.
