2026: Delta Releases JSS 3 Results As 85,049 Candidates Pass

The Delta State Government has released the 2026 Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS 3) examination results, with 85,049 candidates recording passes out of the 97,817 students who sat for the examination across the state.

The results were released by the Delta State Ministry of Secondary Education following the completion of the processing and verification of the examination conducted from June 1 to 5, 2026, at designated centres across Delta State.

According to the ministry, 12,241 candidates have been scheduled for the resit examination, while 527 candidates were unsuccessful.

The ministry said measures were put in place to ensure that the examination was conducted in a smooth, transparent and credible manner.

Reacting to the results, the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, described the performance as encouraging, saying it reflected the state government’s sustained efforts to improve teaching and learning standards in public and private schools.

Ashibogwu congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to remain focused as they progress to the next stage of their academic pursuits.

He also advised candidates scheduled for the resit examination to take the opportunity seriously and prepare adequately for the exercise.

The commissioner disclosed that access cards for checking the JSS 3 examination results are available through school principals and would be distributed to candidates free of charge.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to raising academic standards through effective supervision, teacher capacity building, improved learning facilities and other interventions in the education sector.

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Henry Akambe, described the release of the results as another milestone in the state’s efforts to strengthen educational standards and accountability.

Akambe urged candidates scheduled for the resit to remain determined and approach the examination with renewed commitment.

Also, the Director of Examinations and Standards, Mrs. Clementina Ojumah, assured students and parents of the integrity of the results, saying they were carefully processed and verified in line with established standards.

Ojumah advised candidates and parents to rely on official information from the ministry concerning the collection of results and arrangements for the resit examination.
