Restored Abraka Constituency Deserves Fresh Start– Awaritoma

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, House of Assembly candidate for the newly restored Abraka State Constituency, Hon. Erhire Awaritoma, has called for a fresh beginning in political representation for the people of Abraka.

Awaritoma made the call as political campaigns officially commenced, urging residents of the constituency to embrace what he described as a “Fresh Start for Abraka” agenda.

According to him, his decision to contest the State House of Assembly election was motivated by the need to provide the people of Abraka with a stronger and more independent voice at the state legislature.

The ADC candidate recalled that he initially sought to represent the people under the larger Ethiope East Constituency before the restoration of the Abraka State Constituency.

He said the restoration of the constituency had created an opportunity for Abraka to have a distinct voice and pursue its developmental interests more directly at the Delta State House of Assembly.

Awaritoma said: “Abraka has lacked the strong and independent voice it deserves. That reality is one of the major reasons I was motivated to step forward.”

He described the restoration of the constituency as an opportunity for a new political beginning, stressing that the people deserve leadership that is energetic, accountable, accessible and committed to their welfare.

The candidate said his vision was not simply to occupy a seat in the legislature but to provide what he described as responsive, responsible and people-oriented representation.

He promised to articulate the challenges confronting the constituency on the floor of the House, advocate meaningful development and work toward ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach communities across Abraka.

Awaritoma therefore appealed to the people of Abraka to support his candidacy and the ADC, saying his campaign would be driven by the message of a fresh start rather than politics of division.

He also called on his supporters, families, friends and volunteers to take the message of the campaign peacefully to every community and doorstep across the constituency.

“We must give Abraka the representation it truly deserves,” he said.
