Soludo Celebrates Awka Catholic Bishop Ezeokafor At 74

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has congratulated the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, on his 74th birthday.

Soludo, in a goodwill message issued on Sunday, September 13, 2026, and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, described Bishop Ezeokafor as a devoted servant of God and humanity whose decades of priestly service had made significant contributions to the Catholic Church and society.

The governor noted that Bishop Ezeokafor, who was ordained a priest in 1984, served as Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese from 2007 to 2011 before assuming leadership of the diocese.

According to Soludo, the bishop has continued to distinguish himself through pastoral wisdom, dedication and an unwavering commitment to the service of God and humanity.

The governor described Ezeokafor as a respected spiritual father, advocate of peace, unity and development, and a moral voice whose leadership continues to enrich the faith community and the wider society in Anambra State and beyond.

Soludo wished the bishop a joyful birthday celebration and prayed that God would grant him robust health, strength, wisdom and grace to continue his impactful service to God and society for many more years.
