DELSU Gives Newly Admitted Students October 19, 20 Deadlines for Admission Requirements
The Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has given newly admitted candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session October 19 and 20 deadlines to complete outstanding admission requirements, warning that failure to comply will lead to the withdrawal of their provisional admission offers.
The university announced this in an official bulletin dated Friday, October 16, 2026, issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
According to the notice, all newly admitted candidates who are yet to upload their O’Level results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal are required to do so on or before Monday, October 19, 2026.
The university said the requirement was compulsory for processing and recommending successful candidates on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and issuing their JAMB admission letters.
DELSU also directed candidates who had been shortlisted for programmes different from those they originally selected to promptly apply for a change of course on the JAMB portal to reflect their newly assigned programmes.
Such candidates are required to submit evidence of compliance, including printed confirmation slips, to the university’s Admissions Office on or before Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

The bulletin further directed all Direct Entry candidates who applied for admission into the university to verify their results on or before Monday, October 19, 2026, to facilitate their admission processing.
The university warned that candidates who failed to meet the stipulated deadlines would be deemed to have rejected their provisional admission offers and would be immediately replaced.
It stressed that there would be no extension of the deadlines, urging all affected candidates to comply strictly with the directives to avoid jeopardising their admission.
The bulletin is available on the university’s website, portal.delsu.edu.ng, and its Facebook page, DELSU Abraka.
