Ned Nwoko Calls For End To False Reports, Social Media Attacks On Regina
Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has appealed to Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give his wife some breathing space, urging the public to show compassion and support as she navigates her health challenges.
Nwoko made the appeal in a social media post on Monday, saying Regina needed love, support and an opportunity to recover rather than public criticism and judgment.
He also expressed concern for the children, noting that they were well cared for and deserved to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better.
According to him, Regina had been through a lot, more than many people might realise, adding that the video she shared on her birthday gave the public a glimpse of some of the health challenges she had been dealing with.
He stressed that the present situation was not a time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens, but rather to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal.
Nwoko further stated that regardless of the difficulties they had faced, Regina’s well-being had always mattered to him, noting that it was the concern for her welfare that brought much of their private situation into the public domain.

Expressing particular concern over the circulation of false and disturbing reports about her, including fabricated death announcements and misleading stories, he said such publications were deeply distressing to Regina, who sees many of them.
He maintained that the publications were not harmless social media engagement, as they did nothing to support her recovery but rather added to the burden she was already carrying.
He therefore appealed to her fans, particularly those who genuinely cared about her, to discourage the spread of such content instead of amplifying it.
The senator also warned that he would not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports concerning her death, health or personal circumstances.
According to him, publications by individuals hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement were being documented.
He added that anyone found responsible would be held accountable through appropriate legal channels, insisting that Regina deserved the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories daily.
