SOU Hosts 1st Edition Of ‘Sapele Night Of Laughter’
A popular online news medium, Sapele Olofofo Unugbragada Online News Media, SOU, in conjunction with Mr. Naija, a Sapele-based comedian, has successfully held the 1st edition of ‘Sapele Night of Laughter’.
The event which held yesterday at Sapele/Okpe Community Town Hall, Sapele, Delta State, had Samuel Meyiwa Khalil, Coordinator, Itsekiri Advocacy Group; Comr. Ossai Ovie Success, Political aide to the Delta State Governor on Special Duties; Sunny Basikoro, National President, National Association of Social Media Practitioners of Nigeria, NASMPON; Barr. Toju Thomas; Daniel Dafe Umukoro, Publisher, Oasis Magazine and Miss Faith Orido, CEO, Forido Investment Nigeria Ltd, Europe and guests from Sapele and beyond in attendance.
The compere at the event, Mr. Naija and other comedians based in Sapele thrilled the audience with rib-cracking jokes.
Also, performances from fast-rising musicians in the said city spiced up the event.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat, the Chief Executive Officer, SOU, Comr. Wisdom Bemigho Jakpa opined that the event was geared towards creating a platform to showcase young talents from Sapele in the areas of music and comedy.
This, he said was hinged on making the world know that ‘Sapele has got talents’.
He continued: “To some extent, we achieved our dreams today since it is a starting point, even though we did not publicize the event so much. We have seen our lapses and hope to improve next time.”
While thanking those that graced the event, he called on all fans of SOU to expect the best in 2018.
